These are the people in our world whose ancestors didn't feel the need to punish them. They do not have the characteristic of shifting. The majority of Humans do not like Shifters, and some even feel that if they were to rid the world of Shifters, the ancestors would forgive the population. In other words, some Humans take the occupation of 'hunting'.

sporatic shifter

Sporatic Shifters are the most common of the Shifting populace. They have absolutely no control over when or where they shift into their animal form. Most of these Shifters dislike their condition, and try to keep it on the down-low that they're not 'normal' or 'civilized'.

periodic shifter

Period Shifters are known to shift at regular intervals in time. Most shift monthly, or even weekly, depending on their mental stability. These Shifters usually know a rough estimate of when they're going to shift.

epochal shifter

These people shift because of a certain occasion. They can shift whenever it rains, whenever there's a full moon, whenever there's a change in seasons, etc. Most shift due to moods or natural happenings. Epochal Shifters usually figure out what's causing them to shift.

effectual shifter

Effectual Shifters are the pros of the Shifting population. They have successfully mastered when and where they shift. These Shifters are usually very proud of their condition, and some flaunt it beyond reason. They tend to use it to their advantage, or whenever they feel the need.
